How does one break away from the path of our parents?
How do we not repeat the same mistakes they made?
Or are we all destined to repeat the cycle until one of us has the strength to change for the better?

If your parents are addicts will you be one?
If your parents have loose morals, what will yours be like?

Speaking with teenage moms was surprised by the comment of a young 16 girl who was pregnant with a baby girl.  She said she is looking forward to having kids and when her daughter is 16 and pregnant she will support her like her mother did and her mother before her.
Kinda missing the point.  Love the idea of family looking out for each other but why is being pregnant at 16 a good thing and something that should be repeated?

Spoke with another pregnant teen who was an addict and living on the streets.  She made the comment that when her child is a teen she won't judge them when they do drugs because her parents judged her even though they smoke weed.

Am I missing something here?

Are our vices getting worse as our morals slacken?
What was once taboo is now common place and accepted as normal behavior.

Are we learning to be better people or better at being worse?
What is the point of evolving and getting smarter if we do so with declining morals?
Doing charity work with disadvantaged teens and thought to share some observations.

I have noticed the same, and I feel identical. Are we evolving or devolving? When this question is answered, I'm sure arguments will arise, no matter what side it falls.
